Push America
|
Mission
Building leaders of tomorrow by serving people with disabilities today.
Push America’s integrity to its mission is exemplified in every program. Push America programs were created to educate and provide a quality hands-on service experience for members of Pi Kappa Phi while enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.
Push America has the future in mind as many members of Pi Kappa Phi go on to be leaders in our communities, states, and country. Pi Kappa Phi members are serving on city disability committees, disability task forces within their companies, many undergraduates are changing their majors to special education, and others are more socially aware of disability issues.
Eta Chi Fundraising Total Fall '08/Spring '09: $22,175.41

Kinderfrogs
|
| The Kinderfrogs School is a laboratory school on the TCU campus that is designed to educate young children with Down Syndrome ranging in age from 6 months to 6 years. Eta Chi has had a partnership with Kinderfrogs since 2000, when the men of Eta Chi helped in the construction of the school's playground. Since then, many men have donated hundreds of hours of service to the school, affecting many of our brothers' lives and the lives of the children as well. For more information about Kinderfrogs, visit their website. |

Empathy Dinner
|
| Empathy Dinner is a formal event that we host each spring to raise awareness for people with disabilities. Each couple will be assigned a disability at the beginning of the evening and they will attempt to eat their meal in spite of the disability. Afterward, the evening is finished with a keynote speaker. This year, it was local church pastor and mentor, Rev. Andrew Decker, and Push America National CEO, Chad Coltrane. The event is definitely an amazing experience for everyone involved. |
